In addressing Geopolitics as a central field of scientific study and policy-oriented research, The 2010 Moscow Conference on Geopolitics is intended to promote three principal objectives:

3 To bring together leading scholars and promising young students of Geopolitics for an open and free exchange of views on the state of the art

4 To underscore the enduring relevance of spatial & physical geography in domestic as well as global affairs

5 To redefine a research agenda for the coming decade centering on a range of issues, challenges and approaches – a research agenda which will generate fresh insights from an international community of scholars united by a common sensitivity and respect for the continuing impact of variables of political geography on political behavior and decision-making
